Peter joined Baldwin & Clarke in October 2013 in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer in order to provide strategic support and guidance to the Company’s respective financial services entities. Peter dovetails his efforts from a tactical and operational perspective with Baldwin & Clarke’s investment banking activities after spending the prior 10 years in the private equity industry. Peter’s private equity experience originated 2003 with his tenure at Triumph Investment Managers, LLC where he served as an Analyst and Senior Analyst. His primary responsibilities involved the evaluation and due diligence of investment opportunities, portfolio management, and client communications. He also assisted in the capital raising process, having been responsible for relationship development and the creation of marketing and partnership materials.

Additionally, Peter was active in Triumph’s commercial bank consulting services, providing assistance in developing strategic business plans for several public and privately-held community banks throughout the country. Of note, he was actively involved in a $91 million recapitalization of a $1 billion publicly-held bank holding company in the Southeast, responsible for consultative services designed to improve management quality and depth, strategic direction, and capital markets visibility.

Peter is also a founder and partner of South River Capital Advisors, LLC, which provides strategic consulting services to commercially-oriented community banks. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Northway Financial, Inc. and Northway Bank.

Prior to Triumph, Peter was employed by State Street Bank, responsible for mutual fund custody. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Babson College.

Peter currently lives in Newmarket, NH with his wife Jenn, their sons Owen and Will, and their yellow lab Dexter. He enjoys active hobbies outside of work that includes hockey, golf, biking, and skiing.
